As I sit here waiting for the Leasing Manager to call me about the availability of an apartment, I might as well accomplish something besides stressing myself out.
Tiny’s hair has been growing exponentially lately, but is still too short for hair ties to really do any good. She does look ridiculously adorable in pig-tales, but it takes too long, and bits start slipping out within 2 min. So, I’m thinking hair clips are the way to go. They might be easy for her to pull out, but they also only take a second to put back in. Maybe I can at least get her bangs out of her face for a little while.
Over Christmas my Aunt gave us a bag of her daughters’ old hair bows, and these ones seem to work best right now with Tiny’s fine hair. (I found the blank clips below at Walmart last week.)

If you don’t like the way this looks, you can always ad a dab of glue where the arrows are, and press the loop inside. Just be careful not to clog the spring with glue. |
Now add a bit of glue to the top area where your fingers pinch the clip together, smoothing the ribbon as you go. Wrap the ribbon around to the bottom and cut at the desired length. (If you’d like you can go to the end and fold back into the mouth part of the clip, but I stopped right at the hinge.)
Please share pictures with me of anything you create. I’d love to see what ideas you come up with.
Happy Weekend!
