Wow, I didn’t realize until now just how many refashions there were in this Out to Sea collection!
This time though instead of just shrinking them down, I took two t-shirts and turned them into a whole new outfit.
Man I love that Reli’s still tiny!
First I cut the green and white tee into a simple dolman top, and used
the ribbing from a navy shirt to make a new collar and cuffs.
Then I fashioned the rest of the navy tee into a simple pair of cuffed capri leggings,
and slapped on a quick anchor applique so that I could pretend it was “nautical”. Ha!
It’s quick, easy, stylish, and free! What’s not to love?
Check out the other refashions…
The striped raglan to match the Sailor Knot Skirt – The Castaway Dress
The Tidal Pool Tunic – The cuffed 3/4 sleeve tee to match the Sailor Shorts
She may be tiny but she's massive on cute!!!
She's definitely got a BIG personality too!
I new this was your T-shirt! Had to click on it. So cute! I love you make it sound so easy! Now if I could just have an ocean nearby…. 🙂 I have not gone 'on location' for any of my shots. I might have to start getting a little more creative! At least we do have some lakes in MO. 🙂

Thanks Gina! Honestly the trip to the beach was about an hour and a half, and that wasn't even to the ocean, just the bay. I'm not a big fan of sand, and definitely wouldn't even have bothered going if I hadn't done a whole collection. There was just something about shooting all those outfits at the pool that just seemed wrong though. I mean I spent so much time sewing these darn clothes. The pictures better look awesome! lol
Great use of old shirts, very cute! Working on an anchor project myself, so it immediately got my attention in the Thrifty to Nifty link party 🙂
Thanks Pienkel! I adored that navy jacket you just made, and can't wait to see you anchor project!
So cute!!!! This shirt includes 2 things that I love: anchors and the color green. Such a cute outfit!

Thanks T'onna! Too bad the collection is almost over. I may have to plan at least one nautical week for next summer too since it's been so fun!
Loving your blog! New follower here, hoping you'll stop by my blog and say hello and follow back 🙂

Welcome aboard Allie! (sorry, guess I'm stuck in nautical mode.) It's great to have you along, and I'll be sure to stop by and check out your site!
Super cute!
This is such a cute top! I'd love one for myself!
Hi Toni,
This tunic is adorable and looks so simple to make. I'll have to keep it in mind for my two little girls.

Darling outfit! I have always loved blue and green together!
Ooh the stripes are a nice touch! I think the stripes make it look nautical, but the anchor is a nice touch. I love the mix of colors!
I just had to tell you I love your blog! I'm following on Bloglovin
Thanks so much Justine! I've been a follower of you site for awhile now, and love linking up your Sew & Tell party!
