Triple Chip Chocolate Cookies

Triple Chip Chocolate Cookies Recipe : Sugar Tart Crafts
I know we just started, but this is by far my new favorite cookie of the year!
Pretend you took a delicious chewy brownie and threw in all your favorite baking chips.
I’m talkin’ anything! Dark, white, milk, or semi-sweet chocolate, butterscotch, peppermint, vanilla,
peanut butter, cherry. (Have you ever seen cherry before?! Me neither, but it sounds awesome!)
Anyway, choose your favorites, and get ready to hide these from your family.
I divided up a single batch of dough so we could try a few different chip options.
Ant went with dark chocolate, white chocolate peanut butter, and I chose straight chocolate.
I mean come on. What could possibly be better than dark, semi-sweet, and milk chocolate chips
all mixed up in a brownie, that’s really a cookie?! Chocoholics rejoice!
Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate, and White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Triple Chip Chocolate Cookies

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup butter – softened
2 eggs at room temp -lightly beaten
1 tbsp vanilla
2 cups total of your choice of baking morsels*

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
In another large bowl or the bowl of your stand mixer, cream together butter, both sugars, and vanilla.
Beat on Med-High for 3-4 minutes (scraping the sides periodically) until the mixture is very light and fluffy.
Add the beaten eggs, and mix until just combined.
Using a large spatula, gently fold the flour mix into the butter mixture until completely moistened.
Stir in chocolate chips, and chill dough for 30 min. to 1 hour until it is firm enough to handle.
Roll the dough into roughly 1″ sized balls and flatten slightly on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges are firm.
The center may seem under-cooked, but it will set when completely cooled.
Grab a tall glass of milk, and enjoy a few while they’re still warm!

*Suggested morsel mixes:
Dark, semi-sweet, and milk chocolates
Dark chocolate, white chocolate, and peanut butter chips
Semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate, and peppermint chips
Butterscotch, white chocolate, milk chocolate
Dark chocolate, and a double scoop of cherry chips

Seriously, look at those! Why haven’t you started baking yet?
Completely off topic…
The other night when I was writing this post, I was having trouble deciding on a title image and asked Ant for his input. The image below was the one I originally planned to use. It’s got a chalkboard label, some scribble font, and a glass of milk with a paper straw; Isn’t that what all the “cool kids” are doing when it comes to food photography? The one up top is kinda bland in comparison, but I saved it anyway while I was fiddling with Picmonkey as a “just in case” back-up title. Well, Ant sees the one below and this is how our conversation goes…
Ant- “I really like that one. It’s just not very you.”
Me- “I feel like I’ve just been insulted, but I’m not sure how.”
Ant -“It looks like a poster that you would see I a retail store or something.
It’s definitely not something I’d picture being on your blog.”
Me – ………
Ant – “No wait, that’s not what I meant! I’m shutting up now, but I like the one with the milk.”

Chocolate cookies with three kinds of chips!
He’s right though isn’t he? It’s not very ME
I’m never that cool. 😉

  1. These look SO delicious, and major lols at Ant! I sometimes wonder how so many bloggers have so much STUFF to include in their cutesy pictures. I struggle to even find just a clean spot to take a picture, period, much less accessorize it all fancy-like. The cookies look awesome, I can't wait to try them!

    1. Oh my gosh, I've wondered the same exact thing!!! Do they have like closets and cabinets full of just photo props or what? Sure it would be nice to have a few cute things, but I could probably think of a dozen better ways to use all that space (Hello, yarn stash!)
