How do I sew an Overlock Seam?
- This stitch requires the use of an overlock machine or serger.
- Sparingly pin 2 pieces of fabric with the right sides together (RST).
- Align the edge of the fabric with edge of the cutting blade.
- Stitch the seam.
- Press the seam flat.
When should I use an Overlock Seam?
A 3 thread overlock should be used to tidy up edges and prevent fraying.
A 4 thread overlock can be used to tidy up edges and prevent fraying, OR to sew seams using knit fabric.
